Vincent Joseph faces the same decision Jamal Musiala once did as the Liverpool youth star must declare his international allegiance between England and Germany.

The Liverpool Under-16s midfielder made his debut for the Germany Under-15s side earlier this month and has now been called up to the England side for the November training camp [@lfc.academy, 21 October].

Musiala embarked on a similar international path in his youth career before opting to represent Germany at the senior level.

Joseph has been making waves at the AXA Training Centre this season and now must make a decisive decision in his young years which could have massive ramifications for his development at Liverpool.

Liverpool are nursing a golden generation of youth talent

Should Joseph continue to have even half the career of Musiala at Liverpool, the club will have another in an ever-growing list of high-potential talents in the ranks.

Joseph has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence through the youth setup at the Reds, scoring two hat-tricks in October alone against Stockport County and Everton for the Under-16s.

However, the midfielder will need to weigh up where his international career is best served. Both nations are a hotbed for talent and neither will provide an easier route to the other to the senior side.

The Reds are adopting the quality over quantity approach at the AXA Training Centre - Bobby Clark led a youth exodus over the summer with Trey Nyoni the only survivor to be called up by Arne Slot and rewarded with a new long-term contract.

Rio Ngumoha arrived from Chelsea to join Barry Lewtas and has since risen through the ranks to the Under-21s side at 16-years-old.

The future is bright for the Reds, the club will surely advise Joseph to make the right decision but his priority must lie with Liverpool and following in the footsteps of Nyoni and Ngumoha.
