Supercomputer predicts Liverpool result vs Chelsea in Premier League

Liverpool have a tough game ahead as they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the Premier League.

Arne Slot’s side have lost their last two games in a row against Crystal Palace and Galatasaray, and face a third consecutive away game as they return to London.

Liverpool’s performances have been questioned all season despite results initially going well, but they will now need a convincing win to get back on track.

Chelsea will prove a stern test for Liverpool, despite Enzo Maresca’s side suffering an inconsistent start to their season.

Liverpool backed to beat Chelsea

Chelsea are missing several key players including Cole Palmer as they take on Liverpool, and the Reds have now been backed to win.

Opta’s supercomputer has given its predictions for the game, and despite Liverpool’s poor form, the away side have been deemed the most likely winners.

Liverpool have never lost three games in a row under Slot, with their worst run last season coming as they were beaten in the Champions League by PSG and the Carabao Cup by Newcastle.

However, with questions over several players including Florian Wirtz, Chelsea may be playing Liverpool at the perfect time.

Chelsea and Liverpool facing key injuries

Liverpool will be without Alisson after the goalkeeper picked up a hamstring injury against Galatasaray, meaning that Giorgi Mamardashvili will come in for his Premier League debut.

Federico Chiesa and Hugo Ekitike are expected to be fit after suffering knocks within recent days, and Slot will have to decide who to start upfront.

Chelsea are missing several defenders in addition to Palmer, with centre-backs Tosin Adarabioiyo and Levi Colwill sidelined.

Liam Delap and Andrey Santos are also out, and Liverpool will hope to capitalise on their absences to record a much-needed win.

With Arsenal playing against West Ham earlier in the day, a defeat could see Liverpool surrender top spot in the league, and there will be huge concerns over the Premier League title race.
