Liverpool get Will Wright boost as new injury timeline emerges
Liverpool talent Will Wright looks to have avoided serious time on the sidelines.
Liverpool signed Wright from Salford City earlier this summer, beating Premier League rivals such as Arsenal to his signature.
The 17-year-old is highly rated on Merseyside, after scoring over 50 goals for the Red Devils’ youth team before being handed a senior call-up.
However, his Anfield career has not gotten off to the best start.
Will Wright injury extent will please Liverpool
Liverpool will be hoping that Wright can push on and potentially make an impact on Arne Slot’s first team.
A report from the Daily Mail on 25 September claims that Wright will be out for between five to seven weeks after suffering a medial ligament injury in the UEFA Youth League clash against Atletico Madrid.
It states that there is relief on Merseyside, as the injury was expected to be significantly worse when he was stretchered off.

Liverpool can repeat Rio Ngumoha trick with Will Wright
Rio Ngumoha has just signed a new contract with Liverpool, after breaking into Slot’s senior plans in rapid fashion.
Ngumoha became the Reds’ youngest ever goalscorer with his late winner, and seems to be a regular option at the moment.
- Wright has featured five times for the Reds’ youth teams
- He has played four times for the Under-21s and once for the Under-19 team
- He has not notched a goal contribution yet in 174 minutes of action
The L4 outfit will hope that Wright can have a similar rise to stardom and start contributing to the senior team in the near future.
They will likely allow him to recover from his injury and build some form in the youth ranks first though, before he is thrust into the limelight like the ex-Chelsea man has been.
The Reds have a knack for recruiting the best youngsters in the country at the moment, they will hope that Wright is the next one to make the breakthrough.
However, he has strong competition with the likes of Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and Jayden Danns playing in the same position as he does.
