Mohamed Salah returns in nine changes – Liverpool predicted XI vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool host Crystal Palace looking to continue their perfect Premier League record on Saturday.

Liverpool sit top of the Premier League, despite underperforming in their opening five matches, but Oliver Glasner’s side may be their hardest opposition yet.

Liverpool have a poor record against unbeaten sides, and Palace have not been beaten in their last 17 matches in all competitions, so the Selhurst Park clash on 27 September should be fascinating.

Arne Slot is expected to make several changes to the Liverpool side that beat Southampton 2-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Arne Slot to make nine changes to his Liverpool team vs Crystal Palace

Giorgi Mamardashvili made his Liverpool debut in the win over the Saints, but Alisson is expected to return between the sticks against the Eagles.

Jeremie Frimpong might be the only defender to keep his place in the starting line-up, after the Dutchman was dribbled past just once against the Championship outfit, per Sofascore.

Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Milos Kerkez are predicted to return to Slot’s side for the encounter with Glasner’s side.

Ryan Gravenberch was rested on Tuesday evening, and the Dutchman is expected to return in the number six role against Palace.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are expected to replace Trey Nyoni and Curtis Jones on this occasion, after sitting out of the midweek clash.

Mohamed Salah set to return for Liverpool

As expected, Mohamed Salah did not feature against the Saints, but he is predicted to come back into the fold for the crucial league clash.

Alexander Isak is expected to lead the line after notching his first goal for the club in midweek, with Hugo Ekitike suspended, there is no real alternative for Slot.

Finally, Cody Gakpo is predicted to complete the line-up, replacing Rio Ngumoha, who was handed a rare start in the cup.

Slot will hope that side is strong enough to dispatch Palace, but he can call on the likes of Florian Wirtz and Jayden Danns if not.
