Liverpool want Michael Olise, sources close to Bayern Munich star share his decision

Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is a potential target for Liverpool next summer, with the Frenchman weighing up his options.

Liverpool are eyeing up Olise as a successor to Mohamed Salah, with the Liverpool legend’s current contract set to expire in 2027.

The 33-year-old is yet to slow down, however, having started this season well after enjoying what was arguably the best campaign of his career last time out.

Salah will be dropped from the Liverpool squad to face Southampton on Tuesday, with the Egypt international set for a rest after providing an assist against Everton.

Liverpool beat Everton 2-1, with goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike seeing Arne Slot’s side continue their perfect start.

Michael Olise makes desires over next move clear

It was just last summer that Bayern Munich paid £50million to sign Olise, with the young forward choosing to move to Germany despite interest from the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle United.

The 23-year-old had already established himself among the most exciting young forwards in the Premier League, but his first season in the Bundesliga saw that acclaim skyrocket.

Last season, Olise scored 20 goals and provided 23 assists in all competitions, undoubtedly proving himself among the most productive wingers in football.

And the France international has started this season in similar fashion, registering five direct goal contributions in his four league games so far.

Olise’s contract at the Allianz Stadium runs until 2029, but Alan Nixon has revealed that the winger could leave Bayern next summer.

Writing on his Patreon on Sunday, the journalist reported that Liverpool and Manchester City are among the clubs interested in the 23-year-old.

But Olise has instead set his sights on a move to Real Madrid, feeling that he has already ‘done’ the Premier League with Crystal Palace.

Rodrygo could be Michael Olise alternative

One transfer saga that looks set to finally reach a conclusion next summer is that of Rodrygo.

The Brazilian was linked away from Real Madrid throughout the summer, but ultimately ended up staying put in Spain.

And to his detriment, with Xabi Alonso selecting the winger in his starting line-up just once in his opening five La Liga games.

The 24-year-old looks set to be available for interested clubs next summer, especially should Olise get his move to Real Madrid.
