Liverpool vs Everton: Supercomputer predicts Anfield derby clash
Liverpool host Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Saturday.
Liverpool have won their opening four Premier League matches, with late winners in all of them, which is a concern.
Alexander Isak could make his Premier League debut for Liverpool after playing 57 minutes of the Reds’ first Champions League clash on 17 September.
Liverpool could welcome Alexis Mac Allister back for the derby, after he started from the bench in the 3-2 win against Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool predicted to win easy against Everton
Liverpool secured another late win against Atletico, with a Virgil van Dijk header splitting the teams in the 92nd minute.
Everton will provide another tough test, but the Opta Analyst supercomputer has handed Arne Slot’s side a 71.6 per cent chance of victory on Saturday.
The Blues have a 12.2 per cent chance at an upset on 20 September, while a draw is the second most likely outcome at 16.3 per cent.
Result | Prediction |
Liverpool win | 71.6% |
Draw | 16.3% |
Everton win | 12.2% |
Arne Slot will want easy win over Everton
Slot will want his side to win comfortably against the Toffees, rather than needing another late winner against their local rivals.
The Reds have been dominant at their home ground when David Moyes visits, with the Scotsman failing to win in 23 years of management.
- Moyes has met the Reds at Anfield 22 times and has never won
- He has faced Liverpool on 44 occasions overall, and he has won just six times
- He will be hoping to break that hoodoo
- Everton won 2-0 at Anfield in 2021, but Moyes was not in charge
However, he boasts a side which could do damage if the L4 outfit are not on their game when the whistle blows, so Slot’s side needs to be careful of the likes of Jack Grealish, Iliman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
If they could get a couple of goals in front and not relinquish their lead as easily as they have lately, that would be a positive for the Dutchman.
If they can secure a huge victory, by a big margin, it will be the exact kind of confidence that they need to retain their crown.
