Joleon Lescott makes a fool out of himself with latest Mohamed Salah Liverpool claim
Mohamed Salah is constantly discredited despite his sensational Liverpool exploits.
Salah has emerged as one of the most lethal attackers in the world since joining the Anfield outfit, and he has shown no signs of slowing down.
Liverpool tied Salah down to a new deal that will keep him on Merseyside until 2027, at the very least, although he may well stay longer.
While the likes of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have long gone, Salah is still producing ridiculous performances for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah relationship with Alexander Isak questioned
Some observers believe Liverpool may have a problem on their hands with Salah and Isak, and the competition between the attackers.
Salah and Mane regularly clashed at Liverpool, with many believing that the duo did not like each other off the pitch.
Former Everton defender Joleon Lescott raised this issue and believes that the Swede will not be happy to let Salah get all the goals.
Speaking on the All Out Football podcast on 10 September, he said: “Mane was willing to let Salah score more goals, and the team knew that worked for the team.
“Same as Firmino, they were willing to just create the chances, and Salah gets the credit for the goals.
“Strikers are different, they have a different mentality, I don’t know if Isak is okay with Salah getting top goalscorer every season.”

Joleon Lescott is wrong with Mohamed Salah claim
Lescott’s claims show a lack of research, as Salah was not just a goalscorer even back when Mane and Firmino were with the Reds.
His claim that Mane and Firmino sat back, creating chances, allowing Salah to take all the credit, simply does not add up when you take a look at the stats.
In their time together on Merseyside between 2017 and 2022, Salah produced a higher expected assists rate (64 to 36.1), more assists (63 to 40) and played more key passes, which are passes leading to a shot (397 to 321).
Stats (2017-2022) | Salah | Mane |
Expected assists | 64 | 36.1 |
Assists | 63 | 40 |
Key passes | 397 | 321 |
Another statistic that completely contradicts that claim is the fact that Salah notched 18 assists for Mane, and the Senegal star only managed 12 for Salah.
They were both fantastic players, but the idea that Salah just scored all the goals and did not allow Mane to thrive is erroneous and needs to be highlighted.
It is an embarrassing lack of knowledge from Lescott, and he should have done his research before speaking on the matter, or not spoken at all.
Salah was simply better than his fellow African counterpart in front of the goal and in terms of setting up his teammates.
