Newcastle fans to have fresh meltdown once they watch new Alexander Isak footage closely

Alexander Isak is in contention to be involved in Liverpool’s match against Burnley on Sunday.

Isak joined Liverpool from Newcastle for £125million, with the deadline day move breaking the British transfer record.

The Isak to Liverpool saga angered Newcastle fans, with the Swedish striker refusing to play for the club at the start of this season.

A new social media post may anger Magpies fans even more, with Isak thrilled to have made the move to Liverpool.

Alexander Isak entrance at the Liverpool Training Centre could anger Newcastle fans

With the international break now finished, Isak has finally joined up with his new teammates and was welcomed by van Dijk upon his arrival.

Liverpool’s X account posted a video of Isak’s arrival, which has music from Sam Fender playing in the background.

Fender is one of the famous Magpies supporters in the world, and Newcastle fans may be raging at Liverpool’s subtle dig – if indeed it was ever intended.

Relations between Isak and Newcastle have soured, despite his excellent spell at the club.

Isak joined Newcastle in 2022 and enjoyed three brilliant seasons at the club, with the Sweden international playing a crucial part in ending Newcastle’s 56-year trophy drought.

Isak’s fitness issues are a concern, with the injury-prone forward playing only 18 minutes of football since May.

As a result, Isak is likely to start on the bench vs Burnley, especially considering fellow striker Hugo Ekitike has started his Liverpool career on fire.

Hugo Ekitike’s form leaves Arne Slot with huge dilemma

Ekitike has scored three goals in four games for Liverpool following his £65m move from Frankfurt.

His form has earned him a Premier League Player of the Month nomination, with his strong performances coming at the perfect time.

Slot must decide who should start up front for Liverpool, and considering the fee they paid, Isak is the most likely.

However, Ekitike is undroppable in his current form, and with Isak still needing to get up to speed, it’s on him to make an even stronger case for himself.
