Liverpool Fantasy Premier League – Winners and losers from August
Liverpool supporters have several dilemmas to solve when it comes to their Fantasy Premier League teams.
Liverpool supporters had plenty of options for their teams, given the exciting transfer window that Fenway Sports Group oversaw this summer.
Many backed Liverpool’s Premier League champions of last season to get their points, but others chose the new summer additions to lead their teams.
Liverpool News looks at what players scored for August, and who may make way in supporters’ teams after the international break.

Cody Gakpo and Hugo Ekitike exceed expectations for Liverpool
Hugo Ekitike has had a brilliant start to his Liverpool career, and he is the leading scorer for the Reds in FPL.
The Frenchman has 22 points from the August matches, after two goals and one assist in the opening three matches, which has seen the Reds climb to the top of the Premier League.
However, with Alexander Isak joining Liverpool on deadline day, he may go down in the pecking order, which has resulted in 189,824 players taking him out.
- Hugo Ekitike – 22 points
- Cody Gakpo – 20 points
- Dominik Szoboszlai – 17 points
- Mohamed Salah – 16 points
- Virgil van Dijk – 14 points
Cody Gakpo has been another revelation for the Anfield outfit, with a goal and two assists so far, and he is second on the list of top scorers in FPL for the club.
Dominik Szoboszlai and the most expensive player on the game, Mohamed Salah, are next, with Virgil van Dijk following close behind, despite Arne Slot’s side’s dodgy defending.

Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong are yet to come up with the goods
Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz in a £116million move, but he has yet to produce the goods in their first three matches.
Wirtz was expected to be a regular contributor in FPL, but he has just seven points so far, leaving the 20.6 per cent of players who have selected him disappointed.
242,060 players have transferred the German out of their teams for the next gameweek, which highlights his lack of impact so far.
Jeremie Frimpong was expected to be a swashbuckling right-back, picking up loads of points in FPL through his attacking contributions.
However, injury struck, and he missed the clashes with Newcastle and Arsenal, and picked up just one point in the opener against the Cherries.
171,112 players have transferred him out of their teams, but he is still selected by 9.5 per cent of players, who will hope that he can come up with the goods when he returns.
