Liverpool fans will be shocked by worrying Mohamed Salah stat ahead of Burnley clash
Liverpool will look to continue their perfect start to the Premier League season when they face Burnley on Sunday.
New signing Alexander Isak is not expected to make his full debut for Liverpool at Turf Moor, with the striker still making his return to full fitness.
Instead, Hugo Ekitike and Cody Gakpo should continue in attack for Arne Slot, with the Reds boss facing a difficult decision over who should drop out of the team in the games following.
Liverpool are predicted to beat Burnley, but the Premier League new boys will not go down without a fight, having gotten off the mark against Sunderland before their clash with Manchester United went down to the wire.
Ibrahima Konate played for France and is expected to return for Liverpool, despite an injury scare against Arsenal before the international break.

Mohamed Salah’s goal record vs Burnley is grim
Mohamed Salah made history when he won the PFA Player of the Year award for the third time earlier this month, and the winger is looking to add a fourth this season.
The trip to Burnley will provide the Liverpool legend with a unique challenge, however.
There are just two Premier League teams Salah has failed to score against during his time at Liverpool – Swansea City and Luton Town.
The winger had just two opportunities to find the net against both, and is unlikely to get another, with the former likely to remain in the Championship whilst the latter have been relegated to League One.
Premier League teams | Mohamed Salah – Goals per game |
Burnley | 0.1 |
Sheffield United | 0.16 |
Chelsea | 0.3 |
Cardiff City | 0.33 |
Leicester City | 0.38 |
But Burnley boast a slightly different honour in being the team that Salah holds his worst goals per game record against, in terms of teams he has scored at least once against.
The 33-year-old has faced the Clarets on ten different occasions, scoring just one goal. That goal came at Anfield in the 2017/18 season, meaning he has never scored at Turf Moor.
Seven of Salah’s appearances against Burnley since have resulted in wins for Liverpool, including the last four, but the forward can not say his goals contributed to any of those wins.

Mohamed Salah can truly kickstart campaign vs Burnley
Salah has not looked quite his dangerous best so far this season. The forward was largely anonymous against Arsenal at Anfield, but did net against Bournemouth on the opening day.
At this stage of the last campaign, the Egypt international had already scored three goals and provided three assists in just three appearances.
The trip to Burnley will give Salah the chance to put two things right, however.
A goal, or two, would make that record against the Clarets look a lot more appealing, and put him back on the path towards finding the form that has earned him his lofty Premier League reputation over the last eight years.
