Weather not expected to be an issue in Burnley vs Liverpool

The weather is not expected to give Liverpool any trouble when they head to the Lancashire outfit.

The 14:00 GMT clash will be played with temperatures between 16 and 15 degrees Celsius, although it will feel more like 13 or 12 degrees.

There is a 70 to 50 per cent chance of precipitation in the contest, according to the Met Office as of 9 September, so there could be some rain to deal with.

Wind speeds are predicted to be around the 38mph mark, and the humidity is between 80 and 71 per cent.

Turf Moor tickets details

Only season ticket holders and All Red members who recorded over 17 or more away games last season were eligible for a ticket.

They are sold out, as the Anfield outfit have fulfilled their allocation of 2,350, and the tickets are non-transferable for the contest.

Meanwhile, the hosts have also sold out their tickets, so it should be a good atmosphere as the Premier League returns.

How to get to Turf Moor

For Liverpool supporters making the journey to Burnley, the stadium is a 15-minute walk from the town centre.

To get to the town centre, fans can take the train to Burnley Manchester Road station, although there are no direct services and they typically require a change at either Preston or Manchester Victoria.

Coaches are also available, but they typically involve multiple changes, rather than being a direct route to the town.

The journey from Liverpool to Burnley is 56.6 miles and it expected to be completed in 59 minutes, so it may be easier to drive.

Supporters should head for the M65 to the Burnley Barracks interchange, and take exit 10 from the motorway, then take the A671 and Centenary Way/A682 to Hall St.

In terms of parking, surrounding streets have restrictions in place, so they are advised to park in Woodgrove Car Park, Deanmill (Plumb St) Car Park or Millennium NCP.
