Kylian Mbappe has already told ‘outstanding’ Liverpool star to join Real Madrid
Liverpool fans were furious when Trent Alexander-Arnold decided to join Real Madrid last season, and there is now danger of a repeat scenario.
Real Madrid have been a thorn in the Reds’ side for some time, beating Liverpool in two Champions League finals under Jurgen Klopp.
Alexander-Arnold’s move caused anger among the Liverpool fanbase, given the lack of a significant transfer fee for a world-class player and boyhood fan of the club.
The Reds may not have seen the last of Madrid’s frustrating transfer methods, and their star striker Kylian Mbappe has now told another Liverpool player to join him at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ibrahima Konate makes Kylian Mbappe revelation
Ibrahima Konate faces an uncertain future, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, and the defender has been linked with Real Madrid.
Konate started for France in their victory over Ukraine, alongside Madrid striker Mbappe, and it has now emerged that Mbappe has been calling on Konate to join him in the Spanish capital.
- Konate has made 136 appearances for Liverpool, with injuries preventing him from consistent game time.
- The centre-back struggled at the start of this season, but is one of the best in his position in the Premier League.
Speaking to French TV channel Telefoot, Konate joked that Mbappe has phoned him every single day to try and convince him to move to Real Madrid.
“Mbappe pressuring me to join Real Madrid? He calls me every two hours!” Konate jokingly stated.
Marc Guehi could impact Ibrahima Konate’s future
Liverpool tried to sign Marc Guehi at the end of the summer window, but a deal collapsed at the last minute, with the Crystal Palace captain now in the final year of his deal.
A future move to Anfield remains a possibility for Guehi, but the centre-back is also wanted by Real Madrid.
If Guehi does join Liverpool, he could arrive as Konate’s replacement, and this could mean the Frenchman chooses to move to Madrid.
However, if Madrid beat Liverpool to Guehi, then Konate, whom Virgil van Dijk described as “outstanding,” could end up signing a new contract to remain at Anfield, but Liverpool will hope to secure the futures of both players.
