Alisson praised after Brazil win
Alisson is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and he has had a strong start to the season.
The 32-year-old started for Brazil in their 3-0 win over Chile, Alisson impressed as he kept a clean sheet, but while he had a quiet game, he made one brilliant save off Paulo Diaz, which was later deemed to be offside.
The media in Brazil gave Alisson a 6/10 rating, but pointed out that it was a positive that Alisson was barely noticed in the dominant victory.
Florian Wirtz struggles for Germany
Big-money signing Florian Wirtz has had a slow start to his Liverpool career, and his struggles continued as Germany were beaten by Slovakia.

Arne Slot warning as Cody Gakpo shines for the Netherlands
Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo has started the season well, and his strong form has continued for the Netherlands.
The attacker shone as the Netherlands drew 1-1 with Poland, with Dutch media labelling Gakpo as their side’s best player on the night.
Slot has been handed a warning that Gakpo cannot be dropped from the starting XI despite the arrival of Alexander Isak, and he could have a potential headache when it comes to his team selection as a result.

FSG have now been praised by Liverpool fans after announcing a £20million investment into the redevelopment of the club’s youth academy in Kirkby.
After a summer of heavy spending, FSG are clearly intent on securing Liverpool’s long-term future at the top level, and this is a welcome decision from the previously unpopular owners.
This new commitment will see a new pitch installed at the academy, which could become state-of-the-art as they aim to bring more youth players through the ranks at Anfield.
