Real Madrid want to repeat Alexander-Arnold trick and leave Liverpool furious

Trent Alexander-Arnold left Liverpool to join Real Madrid in controversial circumstances this summer.

Alexander-Arnold left the Reds after 20 years of service, joining the 15-time European champions in time for the Club World Cup.

Liverpool received £8.5million for Alexander-Arnold, when they were supposed to lose him for free at the end of his contract.

However, Liverpool supporters were furious with the way that he left, feeling like he did not care about the club.

Real Madrid plotting Rio Ngumoha swoop from Liverpool

Rio Ngumoha has enjoyed a stunning rise to fame at Liverpool, scoring the winning goal in the 3-2 win over Newcastle on 25 August.

A report from Defensa Central on 3 September claims that Los Blancos are monitoring Ngumoha’s progress with the Reds.

It states that the former Chelsea product has already shown his admiration for Madrid, who know that his name will be in the spotlight soon.

The report states that Ngumoha is out of contract in June 2026, which would mean the Alexander-Arnold situation could happen all over again.

Liverpool would be furious if Madrid nab Rio Ngumoha

Liverpool would be livid if they lost Ngumoha to the Valdebebas side, after their relentless pursuit of Alexander-Arnold.

Madrid have now moved onto the likes of Ibrahima Konate and Alexis Mac Allister, with Ngumoha the latest Red to be on their agenda.

However, that is not a situation that is likely because the England Under-19 international has just turned 17, and can sign his first professional contract with the Anfield outfit.

The maximum that he can sign for is three years, which would leave his future with the Reds guaranteed and mean that other clubs cannot poach him until 2028 at the earliest.

The new contract is expected to be announced in the near future, so a Madrid move will have to wait for now.

He will not be joining the Spanish giants anytime soon, despite what reports have claimed.
