Liverpool ‘cannot rule out’ move for ‘unstoppable’ Mohamed Salah replacement
Liverpool were handed a boost as Mohamed Salah finally signed fresh contract terms last season, but he will eventually need to be replaced.
Salah enjoyed his best season yet as he fired Liverpool to the Premier League title with a truly outstanding individual campaign.
At 33, Salah may not have long left at his true top level, and his new contract will take him to the end of the 2026-27 season.
Liverpool are already thinking about a succession plan for one of their greatest-ever players, and they have now lined up a potential target who could be perfect.

Liverpool eye up Michael Olise as Mohamed Salah successor
Liverpool are now reportedly eyeing up Bayern Munich star Michael Olise as the long-term successor to Salah, and a move would make a lot of sense.
As reported by Lewis Steele in The Daily Mail, Olise is viewed as a potential first-choice replacement for Salah, who could be targeted in the next year or two.
Stat | Olise |

A move for him “cannot be ruled out” eventually, with Olise potentially the perfect profile for Salah’s eventual successor.
Olise joined Bayern from Crystal Palace last year, and the potential for him to reunite with former teammate Marc Guehi at Liverpool in the future is a mouthwatering prospect.

Michael Olise is the perfect successor for Mohamed Salah
When Liverpool signed Salah, he was returning to England after a previous stint in the Premier League, as a 25-year-old with a point to prove.
Olise could potentially follow a similar path if he joins in the next two years, and at 23, he could join Liverpool at a younger age than Salah was when he arrived at Anfield.
Like Salah, Olise is a left-footed right winger who thrives when cutting inside and shooting on goal, and would bring a similar level of goal threat with perhaps even more flair, and he was described as “unstoppable” by Pat Nevin during his days at Palace.
The Frenchman would arrive as a player with Premier League, Champions League and international experience, ahead of his prime years, and he could be the next superstar to bring trophies to Anfield after Salah eventually leaves as a legend.
