Newcastle insiders make explosive Alexander Isak sabotage allegation as he arrives at Liverpool

Alexander Isak got his wish on deadline day as he signed for Liverpool.

Isak had been linked with a switch to the Reds all summer, and Liverpool had a £110million bid rejected on 1 August.

Liverpool finally agreed a £125m deal with Newcastle for Isak on deadline day, and announced the signing late in the evening.

Isak’s antics throughout the saga have caused controversy as he made his desire to join the Anfield outfit abundantly clear.

Alexander Isak accusation emerges after Liverpool move sealed

Isak refused to play as he tried to force his move to Liverpool and released a statement claiming that the Magpies had broken promises.

However, Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards claimed on 1 September that some Newcastle insiders suggested that the Swedish forward was playing like he did not want his side to make the Champions League.

He states that it would make it harder for him to explain to Eddie Howe and supporters why he wanted to depart.

Liverpool will not care about Alexander Isak’s previous behaviour

Isak was perfectly entitled to force his dream move to Merseyside.

He had to do something to get Newcastle to change their resolute stance that he was not for sale, and the only way was to kick up a fuss.

The notion that Edwards has shared that he downed tools in the season and played poorly is not backed up by the facts, he scored four goals and notched one assist in the final nine matches of the campaign.

There is every chance that was a natural fall off after an intense season, where he notched a ridiculous amount of goals and helped them to the win the Carabao Cup, defeating the Reds in the final.

His legacy should be that in the North East, but it will be tarnished by the way that his exit came about.

However, the Reds and their supporters will not care about that, they will only care about what he does on the pitch for them, such is the nature of football.

The idea that they should care and should not have wanted the best number nine in world football after the antics is ludicrous.
