Ian Rush sends brilliant two-word message to Alexander Isak as Liverpool transfer confirmed
Liverpool confirmed the signing of Alexander Isak on deadline day.
The now-former Newcastle United striker has been the subject of interest from the Premier League champions all summer, and Liverpool had a £110million bid rejected for Isak on 1 August.
Liverpool agreed a £125m deal with Newcastle for Isak in the early hours of the last day of the transfer window, and his signing was announced after the deadline had passed.
It brings to an end one of the most complicated transfer sagas of all time, and Isak can now look forward to wearing the red shirt.

Liverpool legend Ian Rush sends Alexander Isak message
Isak is expected to earn around £300,000-a-week on Merseyside, after signing a six-year contract with the Reds.
The club took to Instagram on 1 September to announce the signing, saying: “Worth the wait.”
Ian Rush, who is the Merseyside club’s record goalscorer, commented “Welcome home” with the handshake emoji.
Alexander Isak a game-changing signing for Liverpool
Isak is arguably the best number nine in world football, and his signature makes Arne Slot’s side the nailed-on favourites to regain their league crown.
They also stand a great chance of winning the Champions League, with two of the most dangerous attackers in world football on their books.
It was a complicated saga, but the Reds bided their time, trusting that Isak’s antics would force the Magpies to sell.

There were doubts over whether it would happen, but Fenway Sports Group and Richard Hughes proved that they are elite when it comes to transfers, adding the Swedish star to their ranks when it looked like an impossible deal.
Ultimately, Newcastle caved and allowed Isak to depart after claiming all summer that he was going nowhere, and the Reds have their man.
