How to watch Alexander Isak play for first time as Liverpool player this week

Alexander Isak has now completed his long-awaited move to Liverpool, and fans will be eager to see him in action.

The saga surrounding the striker’s transfer finally came to an end on deadline day as Isak completed a £125 million move to Liverpool.

Isak shone with Newcastle in the Premier League for three years, establishing himself as one of the best strikers in the division, and is now the most expensive transfer in the league’s history.

The 25-year-old did not play with Newcastle in pre-season, but can now gain some match fitness before his Liverpool debut, as he is away with Sweden on International duty.

Isak has already joined up with the Sweden squad after completing his move to Anfield, and is set to play a part in their upcoming fixtures.

Sweden are set to play against Slovenia and Kosovo this week, and with Isak set to feature in these games, many Liverpool fans will be keen to tune in.

Sweden will play Slovenia

The first game will come against Slovenia in Ljubljana, and Isak is in line to start despite his lack of match fitness.

Liverpool fans will be able to stream the game on FuboTV and VIX, with Isak likely to start alongside Arsenal attacker Viktor Gyokeres, who played in their defeat at Anfield.

Unfortunately, Liverpool supporters in the UK are unlikely to be able to watch the game on those services.

Alexander Isak can build up fitness during Sweden matches

A concern is that he will be severely lacking in match fitness after Isak missed the entirety of pre-season with Newcastle while on strike, and was also excluded from training.

This means that he may be integrated slowly into the Liverpool team, but with Hugo Ekitike starting superbly at Anfield, there may not be too much pressure on Isak to deliver immediately anyway.

The upcoming Sweden fixtures can help Isak get back in the rhythm of competitive action with familiar teammates, before he links up with Arne Slot’s squad for the first time.

Liverpool face two away games at Burnley and Atletico Madrid before Isak can make his Anfield bow, but this will come in a Merseyside derby against Everton.
