How Marc Guehi truly feels about leaving Crystal Palace as Liverpool eye late deal
Liverpool are hoping to complete a transfer deadline day move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
Alexander Isak is expected to join Liverpool after a deal was finally agreed with Newcastle United.
The Swede has been demanding a transfer for much of the summer, and looks to have finally been granted his wish in the final hours of the window.
Liverpool want a deal for Guehi to get over the line too, with Arne Slot lacking options in the centre of defence.
The England international’s arrival could clear a path for an exit, with AC Milan interested in a move for Joe Gomez.

Marc Guehi happy to stay at Crystal Palace
As of Monday morning, Guehi’s move to Liverpool was said to be unlikely, with Palace keen to stick to their valuation of the defender.
Ibrahima Konate was forced off with an injury as the Reds narrowly beat Arsenal on Sunday, with Slot’s desperation for an arrival at the back intensifying.
Liverpool signed Giovanni Leoni from Parma earlier in the summer, and the 18-year-old is expected to play a part in the coming weeks.
But Guehi would provide an option with Premier League experience, the defender starring last season as Palace won the FA Cup.

Vinny O’Connor gave an update on the potential transfer live on Sky Sports News on Monday.
“Well, that’s another transfer story that’s been long-running throughout the window,” the journalist explained.
“Perhaps less controversially because Marc Guehi is not really agitating for a move away from Crystal Palace.
“There is that offer of 35 million pounds on the table from Liverpool, Crystal Palace clearly want a little bit more. I think we saw Guehi’s attitude last night when playing for Crystal Palace, what a goal he scored against Aston Villa.”
Liverpool need to push the boat out for Marc Guehi deal
The early signs would suggest that Konate’s injury is not serious, but the defender has spent much of the last few seasons on the medical table.
Gomez too, has had more than his fair share of injury issues, including a problem with his Achilles at the start of this season.
Liverpool should not need any more encouragement to push the boat out to sign Guehi in the closing hours of the window, with the Reds currently leaving themselves within an injury, or two, of defensive crisis.
