Hugo Ekitike can match 133-year-old Liverpool record against Arsenal
Hugo Ekitike has hit the ground running at Liverpool.
Ekitike signed for Liverpool from Eintracht Frankfurt for an initial £69million fee, and many fans were sceptical about the striker’s efficiency in front of goal.
Ekitike has been on fire ever since arriving, and continued his incredible run with a goal in Liverpool’s 3-2 victory at Newcastle United on Monday night.
Liverpool take on Arsenal at Anfield in an early title clash, and the Frenchman can make history against the Gunners.

Hugo Ekitike will match record with a goal vs Arsenal
The former Frankfurt man got his Liverpool career off to a flying start with a goal in the Community Shield, and has took that form into the Premier League.
Ekitike’s goal and assist against Bournemouth, coupled with his strike at St. James’ Park, have made him one of the most influential strikers in Europe at the moment.
Should he step up again with a goal against Arsenal on Sunday, Ekitike will become the first player since John Miller in 1892/93 to score in each of his first four fixtures for Liverpool.
He will also become the first Liverpool player to do so in the top flight, as Miller’s only season at Anfield came in the club’s inaugural season in the Lancashire League.
Hugo Ekitike is only going to get better with time
Nobody could have predicted the start that Ekitike would have at Anfield, with fans now questioning whether Liverpool need to sign Alexander Isak.
Many compared his start to that of Darwin Nunez, who also performed well in his first two games for the club before getting sent off at home to Crystal Palace.

However, while Nunez brought heart and passion to the Reds, which made him adored by fans, Ekitike is very good at using his IQ and trickery to create chances for himself.
When the Frenchman settles in fully at Anfield, the Premier League could be in trouble, whether Isak joins or not.
