Richard Keys reacts to what he has seen about Alexander Isak to Liverpool – ‘It is done’
Liverpool are still pushing to sign Newcastle star Alexander Isak before the transfer deadline.
Isak has agitated for a move to the Premier League champions since he refused to play for the Magpies ever again earlier this month.
Isak took it a step further when he released a strong statement reiterating his wishes on the night of the PFA awards ceremony.
Liverpool have not acted again after their initial £110million offer was rejected; they have sat back and let the situation play out.
However, the Anfield side may be forced into action with two days left of the window.

Richard Keys believes that £130m Alexander Isak claim is reliable
Liverpool have secured a £130million deal for the Newcastle star, according to ex-footballer turned journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft.
He took to X on 30 August, saying: “Understand Isak – deal is done. Newcastle away at Leeds tonight, so nothing expected before that, I am told. Fee will be £130m.
“Isak to Liverpool likely to happen very soon.”
Keys has backed up Fjortoft’s claim and believes that if he says it is completed, then it should be taken as gospel.
Quoting the post, he said: “If Jan says this is done – it’s done.”
Will Newcastle sell Alexander Isak to Liverpool?
Newcastle’s stance all summer has been that the Swedish striker was going nowhere.
However, that seems to have softened in recent days and the capture of Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade may have opened the door for an Isak deal.
Eddie Howe’s side may still want to bring in another forward before they contemplate selling their star man, but it seems like a deal is closer to completion.

The Magpies are reportedly looking for £150m if they are to sell the 25-year-old, so if the Reds can agree a £130m deal, it would be a masterstroke from Fenway Sports Group and Richard Hughes.
It remains to be seen whether Fjortoft’s claim is true, but the narrative has definitely shifted away from the definite one that Isak was staying, which has been the case so far.
It will be an interesting two days for Reds supporters, with the potential for Marc Guehi to also join Isak at Anfield as the window comes to a close.
