Liverpool ready new £110m+ bid for Alexander Isak as Newcastle line up two replacements
Alexander Isak’s transfer saga with Liverpool shows no signs of disappearing, going into the final days of the transfer window.
The striker is determined to leave Newcastle amid interest from the Reds.
Liverpool placed a bid for Isak earlier this transfer window, but this was quickly knocked back.
As a result, Isak is refusing to play for Newcastle as he looks to force a move away from St. James’ Park.
Now, Liverpool are set to make another move for the Swede in an attempt to sway the Magpies to sell their star man.

Newcastle eye Nicolas Jackson and Yoane Wissa as Alexander Isak replacements
On Monday, Newcastle will host Liverpool in what will no doubt be a hotly contested match.
On top of the Isak saga, Liverpool also secured the signing of Hugo Ekitike from under the Magpies’ noses after they pursued the Frenchman for some time.
Therefore, the atmosphere at the match could prove to be difficult for the visitors, especially with the news coming out on Sunday.
- Liverpool’s and Newcastle’s transfer windows have been intertwined
- The Reds beat the Magpies to Ekitike
- Now Liverpool are attempting to take Isak off their hands
According to Irish newspaper, Sunday Word, Liverpool are preparing another bid for Isak after the game.
The offer will be an increase on the £110million bid they made earlier this summer.
As a result, Newcastle are eyeing potential replacements, with Nicolas Jackson and Yoane Wissa on the Magpies’ radar.

Is Alexander Isak worth the hassle?
It is clear that if Liverpool want to sign Isak, it will take a record fee to get the striker.
However, given how good the Reds’ attacker already is, questions are starting to be asked if this saga will be worth it.
Jamie Carragher is one critic, stating that Liverpool shouldn’t sign Isak.
Yet, Arne Slot is seemingly determined to get the signing over the line, especially given the rumours of an impending bid.

If the signing is completed, the pressure will be on Isak to make an instant impact, as his goals will be what he is judged on.
The Swede will be expected to net at least 20 times in all competitions for Liverpool, and if this is not met, the striker may be considered a letdown.
