Chelsea could hand Alexander Isak right on a plate to Liverpool amid big transfer update
Liverpool’s pursuit of Alexander Isak is ongoing, but there is currently a stand-off between Newcastle and their striker.
Isak is currently training away from the Newcastle squad in a tense situation, as he attempts to force a move to Anfield.
Liverpool have had a bid rejected, but are playing a waiting game as they attempt to secure Isak for lower than his asking price, but it remains to be seen how firm Newcastle’s stance over the attacker will be.
Newcastle have had a difficult summer transfer window, but have now been handed fresh hope over an attacking signing which could pave the way for Isak to join Liverpool.

Newcastle eye up Nicolas Jackson as Alexander Isak replacement
It appears that Newcastle will only let Isak leave if they are able to sign a replacement, and they could now bring a new striker to St James’ Park.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has now reported that agent Ali Barat is determined to bring his client Nicolas Jackson to one of Bayern Munich or Newcastle this summer.
Jackson could join former Liverpool winger Luis Diaz at Bayern Munich, but the Reds would certainly prefer it if he went to Newcastle, as this could free up Isak to leave the club.
Both Bayern and Newcastle are reportedly prepared to agree personal terms with Jackson, and Newcastle have the upper edge over Bayern as they can currently afford a bigger fee.
With Harry Kane thriving at Bayern, Jackson could move to Newcastle as the starting striker if Isak leaves, and this is a move which could suit all parties.
It means that Chelsea could inadvertently hand Isak to Liverpool on a plate if the Jackson deal is sanctioned.
Liverpool will face hostile atmosphere at Newcastle
Liverpool’s Premier League fixture schedule is unfortunate given the messy situation surrounding their pursuit of Isak, as they will face Newcastle in their first away game.
Travelling to St James’ Park is already an unenviable task, with Arne Slot’s side drawing 3-3 there last season, but given the tensions between the two clubs, Liverpool’s task has become even tougher.
Liverpool will face Newcastle in a hostile atmosphere, and while the absence of Isak will be a boost on the pitch, there will be no love lost between the two clubs until the situation is resolved.
If Jackson is to join Newcastle, it could put this transfer saga to an end after months of uncertainty surrounding Isak, and Liverpool will hope it does not drag out until the transfer deadline.
