How much profit are Liverpool set to make as Ben Doak exit agreed?
Ben Doak looks set to finally seal a move away from Liverpool.
Doak has been linked with an Anfield departure all summer.
Multiple Premier League clubs, including Wolves and West Ham, have shown an interest in Doak, who spent last season on loan in the Championship with Middlesbrough.
However, while the forward is now set for a Premier League move, it looks as though he is headed further south.

Bournemouth agree deal with Liverpool for Doak
Liverpool have undergone some major squad changes this summer.
And with the addition of Hugo Ekitike, as well as the emergence of Rio Ngumoha and continued links to Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, it looks as though the forward line at Anfield is too congested for Doak to break into.
As a result, a departure makes sense for all parties, and as reported by Fabrizio Romano on Friday, 15 August, Bournemouth have agreed to sign Doak from Liverpool, with formal steps to follow.
A £25million fee has been agreed between Liverpool and the Cherries, who meet at Anfield on Friday in the Premier League opener. However, just how much profit are the Reds set to make?
Liverpool paid Celtic £600,000 in training compensation to sign Doak in 2022. As a result, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are set to make a £24.4m profit on the 19-year-old, a massive boost for a player who has hardly featured at Anfield.
In addition, according to Capology, Doak earns £15,000-a-week on his Liverpool contract, which expires next summer, which means the Reds will save around £780,000 in wages over the next year by selling the winger now.

Who exactly are Liverpool selling? A look at Doak’s career so far
Liverpool clearly saw plenty of potential in Doak, considering they agreed to pay a six-figure compensation fee for the then-16-year-old.
Before making the move to England, the teenager had featured twice in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic’s first team and appeared to be on the right track in terms of his development with the Glasgow giants. However, the bright lights of Anfield were clearly too hard to resist.
Since he arrived on Merseyside, Doak has played 29 times for Liverpool’s academy sides, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists. In addition, he has made 10 appearances for the first team, but has yet to register a goal contribution.
- Doak made his Liverpool debut in November 2022, five days before signing his first professional contract with the Reds
- The 19-year-old made his Scotland debut in May 2024
Last season, the Scotsman spent the campaign with Middlesbrough, where, despite suffering an injury setback after undergoing surgery, he still managed to score three goals and provide seven assists in 24 matches.
Doak has also played six times for Scotland, and it looks as though Bournemouth are signing a real talent, who Liverpool might regret letting go of.
