Newcastle fans hate Curtis Jones after latest Isak developments at Liverpool
Alexander Isak’s future is still up in the air amid interest from Liverpool.
Liverpool had a £110million bid rejected earlier this month, but Isak is still desperate to join, so there could be developments in the coming weeks.
The Swedish star was slammed as he cranked up the pressure on Newcastle by refusing to play for them again, in an attempt to force a move to Liverpool.
It seems like the anger on Tyneside will only increase after Curtis Jones‘ latest actions.

Liverpool star makes Isak gesture
Isak’s fate is yet to be decided; Liverpool could still make a new bid and tempt Eddie Howe’s side to sell their star man.
The timeline so far:
- July 24: Isak misses Newcastle tour of Asia with thigh injury
- August 1: Liverpool have £110m bid rejected
- August 9: Howe admits he has no control over Isak situation
- August 12: Isak adamant he won’t play for Newcastle again
Numerous Premier League stars were asked to do their trademark celebration ahead of the new season, and Jones pulled out Isak’s signature one, which he did against the Reds in the Carabao Cup final.
That will only serve to increase speculation about a potential swoop, as the transfer window grinds towards a conclusion.

It is safe to say that Jones caused a pretty strong reaction from the Magpies’ fanbase, which is already riled up about the way that Liverpool has approached their star striker.
Many observers perceive the way that Isak has gone on strike and has refused to play to be disrespectful to the club that made him the star that he is today.
However, Liverpool supporters will not care; they want Isak to join the Anfield revolution and help fire them to as many trophies as possible.
Whether Richard Hughes and Co can get a deal done with just over two weeks left in the window remains to be seen, but at this point, it may be the best outcome for all parties.
Isak has clearly burned all his bridges in the North East, and the situation has turned sour very quickly, and it looks irreparable.
Jones may end up with egg on his face if the deal is not completed, as Geordies will no doubt circle back to the clip if that is the case.
However, if he signs for the L4 outfit, he may have given supporters a hint.
