Liverpool vs Bournemouth: Kick-off time and how to watch
Liverpool will kick off the defence of their Premier League title against Bournemouth on Friday.
Fans at Anfield will be treated to the league debuts of several players, including Florian Wirtz, who arrived from Bayer Leverkusen for around £116million earlier this summer.
Arne Slot will hope to see his side hit the ground running, despite Liverpool’s loss to Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on 10 August.
Bournemouth enjoyed a strong season last time out, but have been struck back by the departures of several key defenders, including Reds signing Milos Kerkez, who left for £40m.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth will be played on Friday night
Liverpool’s meeting with Bournemouth at Anfield will open the Premier League season on Friday, 15 August, with kick-off taking place at 8 pm BST.
The league opener has been a standalone Friday night game for the last five years running, with Manchester United beating Fulham in the fixture last season.
The meeting with Bournemouth will start a difficult run of fixtures for Liverpool, with a meeting with Newcastle United at St James’ Park to follow before a match against last season’s runners-up, Arsenal.
