Liverpool starting XI ‘may look whole lot different’ after Nunez replacement news
Darwin Nunez looks set for a move away from Anfield after Liverpool made their intentions to sign a new forward clear.
Arne Slot’s side have had countless updates regarding the situation of Alexander Isak, and are still looking to sign the striker.
Luis Diaz’s departure and Hugo Ekitike’s incoming has already seen the Reds endure a merry-go-round when it comes to their attack.
With Nunez set for a move away, are now eyeing yet another forward to add to their collection.

Liverpool want a ready made forward to replace Nunez
With Nunez’s departure getting closer, all eyes have been on who might replace the Uruguayan.
With Liverpool getting a reported £46.2million up front, with add-ons that could take the sale up to £56.6million, Slot has outlined his criteria for a potential replacement.
According to Sky Sports News (7 August), the Reds will only sign a replacement if someone crops up who is first-team ready.
A new face up front could make Slot’s side look a whole lot different going into next season, after already making wholesale changes up front.
However, Liverpool are not looking to halt any of their younger players’ progress by signing other talents who could potentially take their place.
Rio Ngumoha is one of the youngsters who have shown their prowess so far during preseason.
- Ngumoha has made one senior appearance at this point, in the 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup last season.
The former Chelsea youngster has caught the eye, and at 16, he looks to be first-team cover at left wing for Liverpool, following Diaz’s departure.
Ngumoha has been in and around the first team a fair bit since joining from the Blues, and the Reds’ media team even had to delete a social media video of him embarrassing first-team defenders last year.

Liverpool don’t need another striker
With Florian Wirtz, Mo Salah and Ekitike amongst others in Liverpool’s forward line, there is no need for more additions up front.
The Reds seem to be taking the careful approach with their youngsters by offering them ample opportunity, but also restricting their minutes so that they don’t tire too much.
Signing another forward would only restrict the minutes and experience that is important for the likes of Ngumoha to gain.
