Arne Slot transfer blunder exposed in concerning Liverpool loss v AC Milan
Liverpool fell to a worrying 4-2 defeat to AC Milan on Saturday.
The Reds were exposed at the back multiple times, with the Italian giants finding gaps in Arne Slot’s defence with ease, thanks to their clinical counterattacks.
Rafael Leao, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Noah Okafor all got in on the action as Liverpool started off their Asian tour in the worst possible way.
Now, despite all of Slot’s spending, there is a real concern about their defence, which is a problem of their own making.
Slot should have never sold Jarell Quansah
Alongside all of their signings this summer, Liverpool have also said goodbye to some of their stars as they look to rebuild the squad at Anfield.
The biggest name to have left the Reds so far is Jarell Quansah, who joined Bayer Leverkusen for an initial fee of £30 million.
This is despite the potential the centre-back has, being just 22 years old.
This summer, Quansah won the Under 21s European Championships with England as he showcased his ability once more.

There is no doubt the centre-back could have been an important player at Anfield this season, and now Slot could be regretting this decision.
Against AC Milan, Tyler Morton was forced to fill in at the heart of the defence, exposing Liverpool’s poor options at the back.
With the transfer saga surrounding Ibrahima Konate yet to be resolved, the sale of Quansah now appears to be a massive blunder.
A solid defence is often the key to the Premier League title, and as it stands, Liverpool are leaking goals left, right and centre.
Liverpool must now target a centre-back
While Alexander Isak to Liverpool would be a fantastic addition, Slot must get his transfer priorities straight.
A new centre-back this summer is a must, especially with Virgil van Dijk ageing.
Marc Guehi has been linked to Liverpool, and Slot must go all out to get this signing over the line.
If not, the Reds may struggle to retain their title in the upcoming season despite their record purchases.
