Fofana to sign for Everton – Three wingers Liverpool could sign instead

Liverpool will need to put their eggs in another basket after the latest Malick Fofana update.

The Reds were interested in Fofana as one option to strengthen their flanks, with Luis Diaz expected to sign for Bayern Munich this summer.

However, Liverpool will need to search elsewhere, with Everton reportedly making progress to sign Fofana this summer.

Rodrygo – Real Madrid

The Reds’ top choice to replace Diaz this summer is Rodrygo, who is believed to be dissatisfied with his role at Real Madrid.

The Brazilian started in only the first of the Spanish club’s run of fixtures during the Club World Cup and could see his game time decrease next season with the addition of Franco Mastantuono.

While the UEFA Champions League winner favours the left-hand side, he has played most of his career at Madrid on the right. This would be a bonus for Slot when switching up plays next season.

As such, Rordygo looks to be the obvious choice to land at Anfield in the coming weeks.

Rafael Leao – AC Milan

There has been speculation that Rafael Leao could be open to leaving AC Milan this summer after six years at the Italian club.

With Liverpool having a summer to remember, there is no reason to suggest that the Reds wouldn’t consider bringing in another marquee signing.

Indeed, Leao gave Liverpool one more reason to sign him after his phenomenal opener in their 4-2 pre-season defeat to the Italian giants on Saturday (26 July).

Thus, with an eye for goal and the technical ability to make things happen, the Portuguese forward would be an exciting addition at Anfield.

Vinicius Junior – Real Madrid

Rodrygo is not the only Real Madrid winger who could make the switch to Liverpool this summer.

Vinicius Junior has established himself as a legend for the Spanish side due to his performance in Los Blancos’ most recent Champions League wins. However, the Brazilian could leave the Bernabeu in the coming weeks.

Indeed, several Spanish sources have reported that the winger and Madrid have yet to reach an agreement on a new contract. Negotiations have stalled with the Brazilian considering leaving the club on a free transfer.

With Liverpool determined to compete for all trophies next season, there is no bigger statement signing than Vinicius.
