Liverpool to secure perfect deal as Derby transfer agreement imminent
Liverpool have had a hugely busy transfer window so far this summer.
Arne Slot’s charges raced to the Premier League title with unexpected ease last time out, but that hasn’t stopped them from strengthening with high-profile arrivals in several key areas of the pitch.
Hugo Ekitike is the latest man to become a Liverpool player, but the Reds’ hefty summer spending is expected to result in several exits at the same time.
With that in mind, they appear to be on the verge of securing another piece of important transfer business within the next few days.

Beck is set to join Derby for another Championship loan spell
Owen Beck is extremely highly rated at Liverpool, and it now seems that they are set to settle his future imminently.
The defender spent last season out on loan with Blackburn Rovers, and he is now edging ever closer to linking up with Derby County for another loan stint, after a permanent exit to Rangers failed to materialise earlier in the summer.
Beck’s loan move to the Rams could be confirmed within the next 24 hours, according to reports from the Derby Telegraph (24 July).
The switch will see the 22-year-old head out to the Championship once again, where he will join the ranks of a John Eustace side for the second year running.
Eustace is widely regarded as one of the EFL’s most promising young managers, and he helped to bring out the best in the Liverpool youngster last season.
He will have hope of lifting the Rams up the table this term, after steering them away from the drop in impressive fashion at the end of last season.
With Beck set to join a club on the up and a manager who is already familiar with him and is prepared to give him key opportunities, this really is the perfect deal for Liverpool at this moment in time.

Liverpool will not have wanted to sell Beck permanently
James McConnell is another Liverpool youngster who is set to head out on loan imminently, with the midfielder on the verge of joining West Brom.
Beck is a few years ahead of his counterpart in terms of his development, and he is arguably approaching the age where he needs to begin thinking about challenging for first-team minutes.
Club | Season | Apps | Goals | Assists |
Blackburn Rovers | 2024/25 | 25 | 1 | – |
Dundee | 2023/24 | 25 | 2 | 4 |
Bolton Wanderers | 2022/23 | 6 | – | – |
He has had several loan moves now, but his parent club will surely be hopeful that this can be the stint that helps him bridge the final gap to the first-team squad.
The defender is a hugely exciting prospect, and Slot and Co. will have been desperate to avoid losing him permanently this summer.
Instead, they now seem set to secure an agreement that ticks every box from both their and the player’s perspective, and you can’t really ask for much more than that when loaning a youngster out.
