Liverpool v AC Milan preview: Team news, lineups, prediction
Liverpool will continue their pre-season campaign on Sunday (27 July) when they take on AC Milan in Hong Kong.
The pair of European giants are set to go head to head at the Kai Tak Stadium, as Arne Slot’s side continue their preparations for the upcoming domestic campaign.
Liverpool began their pre-season with a comfortable victory over Preston, but in truth, that game was more about remembering and celebrating the life of Diogo Jota than it was anything else.
The quality of opposition is now about to step up for the Reds, and with that in mind, Liverpool News provides a preview of the upcoming clash.

Liverpool team news
Slot will have most of his squad available to face the Serie A side, and the Dutchman will likely name a strong starting XI given the calibre of the opposition.
Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez have all made their debuts already, and now Hugo Ekitike could be in line to receive his first minutes for the Merseysiders, after his move from Eintracht Frankfurt was confirmed on Wednesday evening (23 July).
The likes of Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha are part of the contingent that have travelled out to Asia, and Slot could involve the youngsters once again after some impressive displays from the academy stars so far.

Liverpool predicted XI
Alisson is expected to return to the Liverpool fold, having recently been sidelined in accordance with the concussion protocols.
Slot is expected to name a team which will closely resemble a first-choice side, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch all expected to make the XI.
There could even be a place for Ibrahima Konate, despite the ongoing speculation regarding the Frenchman’s future in L4.
However, despite a strong starting XI, it would be no surprise to see the boss make numerous changes as the game plays out, given the fact that we are still within the opening stages of pre-season.

Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 AC Milan
Milan laboured to an eight-placed finish in Serie A last term, and it would be a huge surprise if the Anfield outfit aren’t able to capitalise on their recent struggles.
Massimiliano Allegri has now taken the reins at the famous old club, but he has had little time to stamp his imprint on the squad, and that is expected to tell against a well-oiled Liverpool machine.
Liverpool News is expecting a fairly low-key affair, with the Reds predicted to come out on top with a comfortable 2-0 victory.
