Ekitike makes up for Everton blunder as brand-new Liverpool images emerge
Liverpool’s hunt for a new striker has come to an end with Hugo Ekitike completing his move to Anfield.
Arne Slot has looked to Frankfurt striker Ekitike to add to his attack, following Darwin Nunez’s poor form last campaign.
The French striker travelled to Merseyside to undergo a medical this week – but unfortunately made the mistake of wearing Everton blue for his trip to Anfield.
Ekitike now appears to have made up for his error, as new pictures emerge of him training over the summer.

Ekitike wears Steven Gerrard shirt in preseason training
Liverpool’s attack last season very rarely featured a natural striker, with Slot instead regularly rotating his front three.
Slot’s side now seems to have found the perfect out-and-out striker in Ekitike, though wearing blue to his medical left some supporters stunned.

Many supporters of the Toffees were quick to point out the French striker’s attire, and Liverpool fans have been quick to fire back with observations of their own.
Images shared on X by Anfield Sector (22 July) show Ekitike training in a classic Liverpool away strip with Steven Gerrard’s name printed on the back.
These images will please fans after surprising them with his attire on Tuesday, and if Ekitike was unsure about the fierce rivalry between the two clubs, he won’t be now, and it is unlikely that you will see the 23-year-old in blue again.
Ekitike has shown his commitment to Liverpool before joining the club
Ekitike’s training images have shown that he was committed to Liverpool before he even joined the Reds.
He impressed last season, scoring 15 goals in the Bundesliga for Frankfurt, 11 goals behind top-scorer Harry Kane.
Slot’s side will be hoping the Frenchman can replicate his fine form on Merseyside, and if he does, he won’t come under fire for his choice of clothes in the future.
He could provide added support for Slot should the Reds be forced to sell Nunez and Luis Diaz, with commitment being a huge value on Merseyside.
