Mo Salah’s 10 best Liverpool FC goals ranked – ‘Anfield screamer No 1’
Mohamed Salah was the best player in the Premier League last season, and he has fully established himself as a Liverpool legend.
Salah has been consistently excellent since he arrived in 2017, and is now the third top scorer in the Reds’ entire history.
Liverpool managed to tie Salah down to a new two-year contract, meaning they will get to enjoy even more from the Egyptian king, who has scored 245 times across all competitions.
Some of Salah’s strikes were decisive in big games, and some were sensational strikes which showed his true world-class quality, and Liverpool News have now ranked the 10 best goals in his time at Anfield.

10. RB Salzburg 0-2 Liverpool, 10 December 2019
Although not the most memorable game, Salah scored one of his best Champions League goals against Austrian side RB Salzburg in a group-stage game.
The winger rounded the goalkeeper, but faced an almost-impossible angle to finish from. However, it was far from impossible for him.
9. West Ham 1-3 Liverpool, 31 January 2021
Salah is one of the best at finishing off counter-attacks, and a goal at the London Stadium against West Ham was the perfect example.
The winger rapidly burst through as his teammates built up a counter-attack after a corner, and scored a truly exquisite goal after a remarkable take-down and poke within a few seconds.
8. Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal, 23 December 2023
Title rivals Arsenal were leading at Anfield through Gabriel Magalhaes in 2023, but Salah stepped up again to save the day for Liverpool.
The Egyptian cut inside on the right wing and gave Oleksandr Zinchenko nightmares, going past him with ease before powering home into the top corner, and perhaps prevented the Gunners from winning the league.
7. Liverpool 2-0 Bologna, 2 October 2024
One of many great Salah goals from the 2024-25 season came in an early Champions League game against Serie A side Bologna.
As a former Fiorentina player, Bologna were well aware of Salah’s talents, and he terrorised them again with a trademark cut-in from the left before smashing in a powerful long-distance drive.
6. Liverpool 1-1 Everton, 10 December 2017
Salah’s first Merseyside derby saw Liverpool draw 1-1 with Everton, but there was a truly iconic goal from the Egyptian star.
The attacker shrugged off Cuco Martina with ease, cut inside at the edge of the box, beat another Everton defender and slammed the ball into the top corner.
This goal actually won the Puskas award for the best strike of the year, but many believe that he has some even better goals in his repertoire.
5. Liverpool 5-2 Roma, 24 April 2018
Salah scored a remarkable brace against his former club Roma in the Champions League semi-final in 2018, and his first goal was truly special.
The winger took a touch at the edge of the box and decided to humiliate future Liverpool legend Alisson in goal.
With the Brazilian marginally off his line, Salah produced a magnificent dink to lob him from the edge of the box, with the ball finding the top corner and sending Anfield into chaos.
4. Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City, 3 October 2021
Liverpool’s Premier League title race with Manchester City in the 2021-22 season went to the final day, and the head-to-head battles were extraordinary.
A 2-2 draw at Anfield in October 2021 was a breathtaking affair between the two sides, and this saw one of Salah’s best goals yet, as he shimmied in and out of the City defence before smashing home with his right foot to put his side 2-1 up.
3. Watford 0-5 Liverpool, 16 October 2021
Defenders often try and team up against Salah to mark him out of the game, but the winger is capable of ripping through entire teams on his own.
Watford found this out the hard way, as several players tried to close Salah down as he entered the box, but he used his strength to hold onto the ball, his skill to dribble past them all and his eye for goal to finish strongly.
2. Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur, 4 February 2018
Salah did score in the Champions League final win against Tottenham, but an even better goal against the Lilywhites came in 2018 in a thrilling draw.
The attacker is a supreme dribbler, as Ben Davies found out the hard way, with Salah twisting him in and out before powering home, in one of his finest-ever goals.
There was only one answer for the number one spot, though.
1. Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea, 14 April 2019
Liverpool were chasing down the Premier League title in 2018-19, and a tough game against Chelsea at Anfield awaited them.
With the clock ticking on, Liverpool finally had the breakthrough through Sadio Mane, and a minute later, Salah scored his best goal yet.
The former Chelsea attacker had his revenge on his old club, as he unleashed a rocket of a strike from long distance which flew into the top corner, and no goalkeeper on the planet would have prevented it from ripping into the back of the net.
