Liverpool table £130m bid with Alexander Isak transfer on – Exclusive
Liverpool are ready to push a huge deal over the line for Newcastle forward Alexander Isak.
Arne Slot is looking for a new number nine after growing frustrated with his attacking options last season, despite the Reds winning the Premier League title.
The Magpies’ star has been constantly linked with a move to Anfield, and it is believed that the fee would not be an issue for the Merseysiders.
Isak notched 23 goals and six assists in 34 league matches last season and would take the Reds up a notch in terms of their title defence.

Liverpool table mammoth Isak bid
The L4 outfit have been linked with several strikers this summer, but Fenway Sports Group have yet to pull the trigger on a potential move.
However, that could be about to change, as the Americans get ready to loosen the purse strings once again for Slot, and Isak seems to be their man.
The Reds have denied any bid yet; however, Liverpool News has been told by transfer sources that a massive £130million offer has been launched for the Swedish striker.

Isak would be a game-changer for Liverpool
The Newcastle man is arguably the most dangerous striker in world football right now, and it would take the Anfield side to a new stratosphere if they got him.
They may have been encouraged by Eddie Howe’s pursuit of Hugo Ekitike, who is very similar to Isak, especially as the ex-Bournemouth manager usually plays with only one upfront.
A deal for the Frankfurt man could cost upwards of £80m, and after already spending £55m on Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga and planning more additions in other areas, the Geordies may need to sell.
Pairing Isak with Mohamed Salah, who was the Premier League’s top goalscorer last season, with 29 strikes, would give the Reds the most potent attack in the game.
That duo, combined with the signings that they have already made, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz, would surely make them favourites for the Champions League and to retain their domestic crown.
It remains to be seen how Newcastle respond to the offer, but it is an encouraging sign that Liverpool believe that they can sign him.
