Liverpool squad value: Where do Reds rank compared to Man United and Arsenal?

Liverpool wasted no time in upgrading their squad after their Premier League triumph.

Arne Slot has made multiple eye-catching signings this summer, with the Reds breaking their transfer record to get Florian Wirtz to move to Anfield.

While the defence of the Premier League title will no doubt be tough, the Merseyside club are one of the favourites to lift the trophy.

Therefore, given the recent success of the side, Liverpool News examines how the Reds’ squad value compares to the rest of the division.

Liverpool have the fourth most valuable squad in Premier League

Despite all their upcomings, Liverpool still do not boast the title of owning the most valuable squad in the league.

According to Transfermarkt, this title goes to Manchester City, with their team’s value being deemed to be £1.16billion.

This is followed by Chelsea and Arsenal at £1.1b and £1.01b respectively.

Liverpool are next in the list at £930million, before Tottenham and Manchester United complete the top six with values of £733.1m and £706.2m.

Liverpool are believed to have the fourth most valuable squad in the Premier League

The losses of stars such as Trent Alexander-Arnold going to Real Madrid have no doubt contributed to the Reds’ surprisingly low position.

However, Liverpool also have a smaller squad compared to many of the teams around them.

For example, the site insists Chelsea have 46 players, while Slot only has 29, which has likely inflated the London club’s value.

Liverpool will likely soon be classed as the most valuable club

If Liverpool can continue to find success in England and Europe, it will be inevitable until they overtake Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Another Premier League title this season would likely see Slot’s side overtake the latter two clubs by next summer.

Success inevitably causes the value of players to rise, and Liverpool will be expected to win at least one major trophy this campaign.

Hopefully, Slot can deliver this and continue the ongoing golden era at Anfield.
