Romano ‘needs to read the room’ as Luis Diaz Liverpool exit update drops
Liverpool are still in mourning after the tragic death of Diogo Jota.
The Anfield star passed away in a car crash with his brother, Andre Silva, in the Zamora region of Spain on Thursday (3 July).
The news has devastated the football world, and the likes of Oasis, Ousmane Dembele, Phil Thompson and Jurgen Klopp have paid emotional tributes to Jota.
The Reds have far more important things to worry about than transfer news right now.

Romano fails to read the room amid Liverpool Diaz update
The last thing on anybody’s mind, whether that be supporters, players, Arne Slot or Fenway Sports Group, is transfers.
However, Romano still reported (7 July) that Barcelona are set to make a new approach for Luis Diaz, and the player is keen on the move.
He stated that he is the main target for the Spanish outfit, and they have had two approaches rejected already.
It is a damning indictment of the state of the media right now, that despite what has happened, he still feels the need to share updates about Reds players.
It is not a surprise, though. Romano already tweeted about the La Liga outfit, and Diaz just a day after Jota’s tragic passing.
Liverpool have far more important concerns than transfers
Liverpool’s main concern right now will be how to honour Jota and his brother properly and look after their families in the aftermath of such a tragedy.
Anfield Way has been decorated by a sea of scarves, flowers, hats and even PlayStation controllers, and the physical book of condolences will stay at the stadium until at least 8 July for supporters to pay their respects.
The Reds will start pre-season on Tuesday, but no decision has been made on whether the friendly with Preston, scheduled for 13 July, will take place.
The media have already been criticised for the way that they handled coverage of Jota’s death and the funeral, with the Daily Mail’s coverage being particularly grim.
Romano should have read the room and understood that no one associated with Liverpool is remotely concerned with incomings or outgoings at the moment.
Diaz has just lost a teammate in a very distressing way; he is probably not stressing himself over a potential transfer right now and, like the rest of the squad, should be left to grieve for his friend.
