Everton boss David Moyes pays tribute to Diogo Jota at Anfield
Everton manager David Moyes has paid his respects to Diogo Jota following the Liverpool forward’s tragic death.
Moyes was seen laying flowers outside Anfield on Saturday (5 July) following the news regarding Jota’s fatal car crash earlier this week.
Everton passed on their condolences following the news, posting a classy statement on their social media to Liverpool.

Jota’s death continues to be mourned by footballing world
Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, passed away earlier this week following the crash in Spain.
It is a loss made all the more tragic considering Jota only got married two weeks ago to his childhood sweetheart, with whom they had three children together.
Tributes to the Portuguese international have flooded in following the accident, including from former manager Jurgen Klopp.
Teammates such as Andy Robertson and Darwin Nunez have also posted heartbreaking tributes to Jota.
The funeral of the brothers took place on Saturday (5 July) in Portugal, with the majority of Jota’s Liverpool teammates being in attendance.
Other Liverpool legends, such as Jamie Carragher and Phil Thompson, have also shared their condolences following Jota’s passing.
The entire footballing world has joined Liverpool in solidarity as they mourn the loss of the 28-year-old.
We all knew just how special he was on the pitch, but those closest to him can’t speak highly enough of him as a person off the pitch, and he will be deeply missed.

Both sides of Liverpool united
When tragedy has struck Liverpool or those associated with the city over the years, football rivalries have rightly been discarded, and solidarity has been shown.
The rivalry on the pitch between the red and blue sides of Merseyside is as fierce as any, generating unforgettable atmospheres and moments.
Friends and family turn into bitter enemies for 90 minutes before returning to normal life after the final whistle has been blown.
But in the lowest moments, this is parked whilst more pressing issues are at hand, and this is something everyone should follow.
The last goal of Jota’s magical career came against Everton back in April, and with the two clubs set to meet in September, expect a touching tribute to the forward.
