Liverpool fans have expressed mixed reactions as Luis Diaz emerges as a transfer target for Bayern Munich.

Arne Slot could lose Darwin Nunez this summer, with Napoli being heavily linked with a move for the Uruguay international.

With the Reds spending a significant sum on Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a few major outgoings in the coming weeks.

Barcelona have had their eyes on Diaz for a while, and now Bayern have entered the race to sign the Colombian forward from the Merseyside outfit.

Bayern have made a concrete approach for Diaz at Liverpool as things get serious, according to Tobi Altschaffl and Christian Falk.

The two Bild journalists have revealed, as relayed by the Afnield Sector on X (1 July): “Things are getting serious between Bayern and Luis Díaz.

“Max Eberl has now made a concrete approach to the Colombian winger. Concrete figures were discussed in order to prepare an offer. Díaz is open to a move away from Liverpool.”

The Reds fans have had mixed reactions to the 28-year-old forward’s transfer development, with many wanting the Bundesliga giants to pay £70million, as anything less, as per one supporter, will be “dreadful”.

Another section of the Anfield faithful don’t want to see the Colombia international being sold as he’s clearly one of the best left-wingers in the world right now.

Diaz should only be sold if Liverpool can complete Alexander Isak transfer

Liverpool have been linked with Alexander Isak this summer, but any deal will likely require a massive offer.

If the Reds think they can pull off a deal for the Sweden international from Newcastle United in the coming weeks, then they should sanction the departures necessary for his arrival.

While Diaz was a key player for Slot in the previous campaign, his inconsistent performances led to severe criticism from fans.

The Colombian forward played as a centre-forward for Liverpool in several fixtures last season due to the underwhelming displays of Nunez and Diogo Jota.

With the Merseyside outfit hopeful of cashing in on the likes of Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa in the coming weeks, they may have the necessary funds to sign Isak.

Diaz will undoubtedly command a fee in the region of £70m for the Reds, as he’s shown immense quality at Anfield over the years.

Liverpool will arguably transform into an unstoppable force if they can sign Newcastle’s talisman and play him down the middle, with Mohamed Salah on the right and Cody Gakpo on the left.

With several twists and turns expected in the ongoing transfer window, the situation in L4 will be one to watch closely.
