Liverpool ‘have new superstar’ after where Sonni-Lambie has been spotted

Liverpool have an exciting young player rising through the ranks on Merseyside.

Things are looking increasingly good for Liverpool right now, having made several elite-level additions to a squad that won yet another Premier League title last season.

More additions are to be expected at Anfield, as Arne Slot looks to assemble a team capable of rotation while retaining the quality needed to compete.

However, the need for attacking reinforcements may have just been subdued after a recent sighting of one of youth player Joshua Sonni-Lambie.

Joshua Sonni-Lambie could be the next big thing at Liverpool

Several promising players are emerging through the youth ranks at Liverpool, but perhaps none as much as Sonni-Lambie.

The teenage forward featured 23 times for Liverpool’s Under-18 squad last season, scoring nine and assisting three, in what was a rather fruitful campaign for himself.

As a result, the 17-year-old was in attendance at Nike’s Elite Summit in London, as per Bence Bocsak, showcasing just how much potential he has.

For Nike to have shown an interest in him at such a young age shows just how bright his future really is, and it may not be long until he starts to work his way into the first team under Slot at Anfield.

Of course, with another Champions League campaign ahead, home-grown players will be crucial, as will the ability to rotate the team for the other competitions that they are competing in.

Slot can turn to youth at Liverpool

Slot will be intent on winning everything that he can next season, though he will also be realistic about the potential workload of his players.

With Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup action, the Dutchman will need to adapt his squad for player welfare, and he will be fully aware of the fact that he will be able to rely on some of the Reds’ youth prospects for those games.
