‘Liverpool can complete Anthony Gordon deal’ as £50m update emerged on talkSPORT
Liverpool could finally get their hands on Anthony Gordon as their summer spend looks set to continue.
The Reds have already had a busy start to the window, confirming three big-name signings to add to the already agreed deal for Giorgi Mamardashvili.
With well over a month remaining until deadline day, there is still every chance that more business will be completed by Arne Slot and Co.
This could see Gordon come in from Newcastle United, with the chances of a deal going through now taking a step closer on Merseyside.

Gordon could now join Liverpool from Newcastle United
The England international has already been linked with a switch to Anfield despite his prior links to Everton on the blue side of Merseyside.
This comes after a hugely positive spell with the Magpies, which has seen the winger excel under Eddie Howe in the north east.
With Luis Diaz linked with an exit from Liverpool, there is no doubt that the 24-year-old would represent an excellent alternative for the next campaign.

A deal for the wide man has been scuppered in the past by the side in black and white stripes, but the exit door could now be left open for the L4 club.
This comes after Tony Cascarino shared his verdict on Gordon as Newcastle showcase an interest in Brighton ace Joao Pedro.
The former Chelsea forward has told talkSPORT (29 June, 07:08am) that he can see the Englishman leaving St James’ if the Brazilian comes in for a sizable fee at Newcastle.
He said: “If you’re a certain age and you’ve done well at a football club, £50m is the bare minimum. We’ve seen this with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, so why would Joao Pedro be any different?
“I’m not sure where Anthony Gordon would lie on that if they [Newcastle] did bring him in, I just think he’d be the one who is moved on.”

Pedro to Newcastle could spark Gordon move to Liverpool
The transfer window typically sparks a merry-go-round as clubs look to replace the players they have lost from their squad.
This could see a triangle kick start, which could start with Pedro joining Newcastle and in a ripple effect, see the winger become a Red.
There is no doubt that Gordon would be excellent for Liverpool as an attacking threat on the flank under Slot.
As a complete contrast to Mohamed Salah on the right flank, the pace and direct nature of the Englishman would be an excellent point of difference.
It will now be interesting to see if Newcastle can land the Brighton attacker and greenlight an approach for the champions up north.
