Milos Kerkez already shows true class with Liverpool player admission

Milos Kerkez will have already impressed Liverpool fans after praising one of his new teammates.

Liverpool confirmed the transfer Kerkez on Thursday (26 June) after agreeing terms with Bournemouth.

Kerkez is Liverpool’s third summer signing, after the club already secured the services of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.

Liverpool will be delighted to have the full-back through the door, given he is one of the best in his position in the league.

Kerkez heaps praise on new teammate

Kerkez has seemingly already won the hearts of Liverpool fans after what he said at his unveiling.

The full-back was keen to single out one of Liverpool’s current stars when asked about who he looks up to.

Kerkez was full of praise for Andy Robertson, hailing him in his first interview with Liverpool’s official website.

Kerkez said: “I had conversations with my brothers and we always say, for me personally, Robbo is the best left-back to have played in the Premier League.

“To come and be next to such a player, that has so many experiences, is important for me.”

Liverpool fans will be ecstatic with these quotes from Kerkez, who is eager to learn from the Scotland captain.

Robertson is already a club legend, having won two Premier League titles as well as the Champions League.

The Hungarian is clearly excited by the prospect of being teammates with Robertson, despite both competing for the same position.

Liverpool should keep hold of Robertson

Arne Slot may now have a decision to make regarding the future of his full-backs at the club.

Robertson has been heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, but selling him would be a mistake.

The 31-year-old’s best days may already be behind him, but he can still be a valuable member of the squad.

Kerkez speaking about Robertson in such high regard should be an indication of what an important figure he is.

While he would not be first choice over Kerkez, the former Hull City man could step in when asked and help guide the youngster.

Kostas Tsimikas has been linked with an Anfield exit, and selling the Greek international would be the right move.

Tsimikas’ form has been mixed for Liverpool, and a transfer would make most sense for both parties.

Kerkez being the starting left back, with Robertson filling in when needed, would see Liverpool with arguably the most depth anywhere in the league.
