Liverpool to benefit as ‘Tottenham line up to sign Harvey Elliott’ after Eze latest
Liverpool have already spent heavily this summer, but they are supplementing this with some key sales, and more could now follow.
Jarell Quansah is set to join Bayer Leverkusen for a significant fee, following Liverpool’s acquisitions of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.
Liverpool could even sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, and their spending could go past £250million by the time the window closes.
With other players such as Darwin Nunez also linked with exits, the Reds could even fund a move for a striker, and they may now be pleased with developments at Tottenham.

Tottenham could turn to Harvey Elliott as Eberechi Eze alternative
Harvey Elliott could follow Quansah out the door as a young talent who needs more game time, and Liverpool will hope to receive a significant fee for him.
Wolves are among the clubs linked with Elliott, and while his price tag has been set at around £40m, Tottenham could potentially enter the race.
Spurs were keen on Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, but it has now been reported that Tottenham have backed away in the race to sign him.
They could now turn to Elliott as an alternative, and Liverpool will be licking their lips, given that Eze was targeted with a release clause set at £68m.

Elliott joining Tottenham could benefit everyone
It is clear that Elliott needs more game time to develop after a difficult season under Arne Slot, and he could walk into the Spurs team as a winger or attacking midfielder.
Tottenham could benefit from landing a talented player in a position of need, for a potentially lower fee than what Eze would have cost them, while Elliott could become the key man under Thomas Frank.
Should Liverpool earn a huge fee from Tottenham for the 22-year-old, they could even fund a move for an additional attacker, with Hugo Ekitike among the names linked, and this would cap off a truly outstanding summer window in which they have shown serious ambition.
Elliott started just two Premier League games last season, and another year on the bench could decrease his value as he has two years remaining on his contract, making this the perfect time for a sale.
