Liverpool fans delighted after dream Alexander Isak transfer priority – ‘It’s happening’

Liverpool fans aren’t losing hope as Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak could potentially seal a transfer to Anfield this summer.

Richard Hughes has eyes on the Sweden international as the Reds look to bolster their attack ahead of next season.

Arne Slot could lose Darwin Nunez soon as Napoli are keen to sign him in the coming weeks, and the Tyneside outfit’s centre-forward may replace the Uruguayan ace before the end of August.

Liverpool fans react as Isak transfer still on cards

Liverpool aren’t giving up on Isak’s transfer from Newcastle in the ongoing transfer window, Ben Jacobs says.

Speaking on talkSPORT via Anfield Sector on X (27 June), the GiveMeSport correspondent said: “In July, I think from Liverpool’s perspective, they’ll still work out the Isak situation. Liverpool are not wanting to give up on Isak.

“You can’t move now because the situation with Newcastle isn’t clear, and Liverpool will wait to understand: is there an opportunity to move for Isak? And if there is, of course, they will place a bid. That will be their priority — to see whether that dream target is feasible.”

The Reds fans have expressed their delight while reacting to the update from Jacobs regarding the 25-year-old striker, with one supporter writing, “it’s happening”.

A section of the Anfield faithful are confident that the Merseyside outfit will be able to pull off a deal, with one fan speculating that the Swedish centre-forward has given Liverpool the go-ahead to complete a deal.

One supporter on X couldn’t believe the development, reacting with “Oh my word”, while another fan compared it to Florian Wirtz’s transfer saga at the Reds.

Isak transfer will make Liverpool unstoppable

Slot will undoubtedly relish Isak’s arrival at Anfield after his consistent goalscoring record for Newcastle.

The Merseyside outfit have undoubtedly missed a reliable number nine in their starting lineup in recent seasons, with Nunez and Diogo Jota underwhelming.

Liverpool will arguably dominate the Premier League for years to come if they sign the Sweden international and Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The English centre-back is also a target for the Reds this summer as they look to bolster their defence.

Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez have already completed their transfer to the Merseyside outfit, but more defensive reinforcements are being eyed.

If Liverpool do end up signing Isak and Guehi, they may be unstoppable under Slot, who won the league title without much investment last season.

With Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah extending their contracts at Anfield, the Dutch manager will undoubtedly have immense quality at his disposal if the Newcastle striker and Palace defender follow Florian Wirtz through the door.

Exciting times could potentially be ahead in L4 as Isak’s situation will be one to keep an eye on.
