Liverpool delighted as Holland pens contract in new announcement
Liverpool have wasted no time in getting transfer business sorted in preparation for next season.
Liverpool Women did not have the season they had hoped for, finishing seventh in the table despite achieving a fourth-place finish the previous year.
The Reds are yet to settle on whether a new appointment will be made or whether Amber Whiteley will become the full-time manager after her period as interim boss.
Whoever is in charge will be boosted by the retention of one player, though.

Liverpool announce Ceri Holland contract extension
After a disappointing campaign last term, Liverpool could have a battle on their hands when it comes to keeping the likes of Olivia Smith and Taylor Hinds on their books.
Therefore, it is vitally important for Liverpool to tie down as many of their strong players as they can to make sure they are not too weakened if they do lose others.
With a bigger risk of relegation next season thanks to the expansion of the WSL as well as the introduction of big spenders London City Lionesses, there is plenty of pressure on Liverpool to progress in the right direction.
With that in mind, supporters will be glad to see that Liverpool have announced that Ceri Holland has extended her contract with the side.

The Welsh international has committed her future to Liverpool, putting pen to paper on fresh terms before she heads to the Euros this summer.
The midfielder made 19 league appearances last term and will be keen to play another big role for her side next term, with the Reds delighted.
Liverpool have a decisive season ahead
A fourth-place finish for Liverpool in the 2023/24 season possibly came slightly too soon for the Reds in their journey of progression.
However, it certainly made last season feel more disappointing and now puts plenty of pressure on what the future holds.
If the Reds can retain a strong core of their squad and add some flair to help with their consistency, there is no reason they can’t push further up the table next term once more.
However, both the standards and the stakes are increasing and if the Merseyside outfit fail to reach the desired level in the WSL, they will surely be set to lose vital members of their squad going forward.
Now is the time for the Reds to put their stamp on the WSL and show that they are going to be up at the top of the table on a regular basis going forward.
