James McAtee messages Morton after what Liverpool midfielder just did
Tyler Morton struggled for gametime at Liverpool last season.
The 22-year-old did not feature for a single minute as Arne Slot’s side won the Premier League in a remarkable campaign.
He played just five times all season, with three appearances in the Carabao Cup and one a piece in the FA Cup and Champions League.
He almost left Anfield with the likes of West Ham and Bayer Leverkusen interested in his services but a move never materialised.

Morton shines away from Liverpool
Morton was handed a start alongside his Reds teammates Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah as England Under-21s beat Spain 3-1 on Saturday.
The result secured progression to the semi-finals of the U21 European Championships, and the former Blackburn loanee thrived.
He took to Instagram after the contest, saying: “Huge win against them, top team performance and onto the next.”
Manchester City star James McAtee commented, saying: “The best.”
Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo, Ryan Gravenberch, and Elliott liked it, with the latter commenting: “So good.”
Liverpool will surely sell Morton this summer
Morton is a brilliant talent, and it is a shame that Slot could not find a use for him in his squad after a departure did not happen.
However, surely this summer, he will get his chance to secure regular first-team football and there should be plenty of clubs interested in him, if he is allowed to leave the Merseyside club.

Morton was described as having an “outstanding football brain” by former boss Jurgen Klopp in quotes reported by TNT Sports following the EFL Cup win over Preston in October 2021.
If he is to continue his development, he must be playing senior football, week in, week out, rather than rotting on the Reds’ bench.
Given that Fenway Sports Group have sanctioned huge outlays for Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, with Milos Kerkez seemingly next, they will likely want to recoup some funds before strengthening the defence and up front to ease any potential Profit and Sustainability concerns.
It would be unfortunate to lose Morton as he is very talented, but it is time for both parties to move on, unless Slot has a dramatic change of thought in pre-season, which seems unlikely at this point.
