Curtis Jones sends ‘Liverpool transfer hint’ as new pictures emerge
Curtis Jones certainly had his part to play in Liverpool’s Premier League title win last season.
The 24-year-old made 33 league appearances for the Reds last term, 19 of which were starts.
This summer, the midfielder was hoping to prove himself on the international stage during England’s friendlies, although his performances were not up to scratch.

Jones shares new pictures after England performances
In Jones‘ defence, Thomas Tuchel did play the midfielder as a right-back against Andorra, which certainly didn’t help him prove himself.
England’s overall team performances certainly weren’t up to much either, going on to lose against Senegal after a narrow victory against Andorra.
Nevertheless, the Liverpool man was blasted for his performances on the international stage.
Before returning to Anfield for pre-season training in preparation for the new campaign, the 24-year-old is taking time to enjoy his summer.
Jones took to Instagram to share a number of pictures of his summer so far, some of which included Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon.
The pair have been seen a lot over the summer, from England camp to further afield.
However, Gordon’s response to the post may raise some eyebrows among supporters as he commented: “My brother”, accompanied by a heart and fingers crossed emoji.
Jones could look to move away from Liverpool
Although Jones was given the opportunity to play his part for Liverpool last term, he has certainly not become a regular first-team starter for Arne Slot.
The Dutch boss has wasted no time in getting to work in the summer transfer window either, and he will likely be looking to add even more names to his Liverpool squad ahead of the new campaign.
This could leave players like Jones wondering whether their future could lie elsewhere, with maximum opportunities in another team.
Appearances | Starts | Goals | Assists |
33 | 19 | 3 | 4 |
Gordon’s comment on the post being crossed fingers does suggest that the two are hoping to link up even more going forward, and it is more likely Newcastle would want Jones rather than their man making the move to Anfield.
The midfielder will surely be eager to get to pre-season and see what part he will have to play under Slot next season.
However, if he decides a move could be what he wants, his good friend will no doubt be willing to help direct him to Newcastle.
