Liverpool most likely Premier League finish predicted after fixture release

Liverpool fans are still on a high following last season’s Premier League success, but focus can now slowly start to turn to the 2025-26 campaign.

Arne Slot stunned English football in his first campaign after replacing Jurgen Klopp, leading the Merseysiders to a shock title win.

Ultimately, there was little competition as Arsenal faded away and the Anfield outfit were crowned as champions with four matches to spare.

It may not be as easy next season, as Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to be active in the transfer market and Manchester City are also in contention after a miserable campaign last time out.

Liverpool favourites to retain Premier League title

Liverpool face a tough run-in at the end of the season but apart from that, they will be confident that they can retain their title.

The bookmakers share that thought, according to the latest odds to win the title next season.

The Reds are the 15/8 favourites to keep hold of their crown with Bet 365 after the fixture list was released on Wednesday (18 June).

Pep Guardiola’s Man City are the second favourites at 9/4, with the Gunners ranked in third at odds of 5/2 to go one better than they did last time.

The likes of Newcastle (14/1), Chelsea (18/1) and Manchester United (28/1) are rank outsiders to threaten the top three contenders.

Premier League title odds not a surprise for Liverpool

It is no surprise that Slot and his team are the favourites for the title. They ran away with it last season, with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk playing starring roles and they have now signed new contracts to remain at the club until 2027.

Fenway Sports Group are set to back the Dutchman heavily in the transfer market after his success in his maiden season, with the signing of Jeremie Frimpong already completed and Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz expected to follow.

If those two deals get completed, and they can bring in a forward like Alexander Isak or Hugo Ekitike to replace the misfiring Darwin Nunez, then they should be in pole position to defend their crown and bring it back to Merseyside once again.
