Darwin Nunez ‘to seal Premier League move’ amid £30m Liverpool news – Exclusive
Darwin Nunez’s Liverpool nightmare may be about to end.
The Uruguayan forward has been unable to establish himself as a regular starter at Anfield since his £65million move from Benfica in 2022.
He endured a miserable campaign under Arne Slot, making just eight starts in 30 appearances in the Premier League title-winning season, notching five goals and two assists.
As a result, he has been heavily linked with an exit as the Dutchman looks to overhaul his squad in preparation for a title defence.

Nunez to stay in Premier League amid Liverpool exit update
Liverpool are reportedly seeking £51m for Nunez as AC Milan and Napoli plot moves for the Reds’ frontman.
However, Ian Darke believes that he could remain in the English top-flight if the Merseysiders reduce their demands.
Speaking exclusively to Liverpool News, he said: “I think it is the right move to let him go, being blunt about it, I don’t think he has been a hit at Liverpool, I know the fans like him and there is a bit of a cult status.
“I think he is not going to be a regular starter and he is probably surplus to requirements, the signing of Florian Wirtz opens up other options for Slot, where he may even need a conventional number nine.
“Unless his fee dropped to something in the region of say £30million, possibly at that price, there would be clubs certainly in the middle of the Premier League that may be willing to take a chance.
“It may be a nice move for him too, because he would then become a main figure, he has become a little bit of a, not forgotten man, but peripheral, let’s put it that way, at Anfield.
“He is in the chorus line and given his character and the kind of player he is, it will good for him to go somewhere where he is the main man.”

Liverpool need to get rid of Nunez
Nunez has shown brief glimpses of the player that Jurgen Klopp was desperate to bring to L4 but he has failed to become a consistent threat in front of goal.
His attitude and work rate have been regularly questioned by Slot and letting him depart is the best option for all parties, as it has just not worked out despite a few good moments, such as his brace against Brentford in January.
Fenway Sports Group are set to back a huge transfer splurge and if they recoup some money by selling the 35-cap international, they could strengthen even further after they signed Jeremie Frimpong, with moves for Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, the Uruguayan would get to revitalise his career after a dismal spell on Merseyside.
