‘Andy Robertson’s Liverpool exit could be down to PSR cost-cutting’ – Exclusive
Andy Robertson could leave Liverpool this summer.
The 31-year-old has been a brilliant servant in his time on Merseyside, winning two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy alongside several domestic competitions.
However, he may depart this summer, with Atletico Madrid interested in a move for the Liverpool ace and Milos Kerkez seemingly set to join the Reds.

Liverpool exit not guaranteed for Robertson
Robertson continues to be touted as a potential casualty of the Anfield outfit’s summer business, but that may not be the case.
Finance expert Dan Plumley exclusively told Liverpool News that the Reds do not need to sell Robertson if they do not want to, as they are in line with the current financial regulations.
He said: “It does still depend on the context of the club, if you look at Liverpool and Andy Robertson as an example, they are not desperate to sell.
“There is nothing in the finances that suggests to us, from the outside looking in, that they have got to sell players.
“I think this is a conversation about the club itself, if the players’ age comes into it, there is the potential that he wants to move on or the club see it as the relevant time to let him go and you can shift it off the wage bill as we have seen with Trent Alexander-Arnold as well, that is a factor there.
“It is more of a case of what the club is looking to do moving forward, on the wage bill, that is a measure that we should be looking at, certainly in terms of UEFA’s regulations and that squad cost rule.
“Any player off the wage bill is going to help with that calculation, which Liverpool are absolutely fine on for the record, but still there is that to factor in, and also if you look at where the Premier League might go, then the wage cost is going to be a huge part of that calculation.
“I think nowadays, it is about particularly given the regulatory framework, there should be a focus on wage bill movement, not just on transfer fees in and out.”

Robertson could stay at Liverpool
Robertson’s future may well depend on Arne Slot, and what kind of promises the Dutchman is willing to offer in terms of his playing time.
The Scotland captain may decide to stay in L4, if he is given the chance to fight for his place with Kerkez, rather than having to settle for a bench role.
If he does depart, it will be because he is not up for the challenge, rather than the Reds needing to sell for any kind of financial reason as Fenway Sports Group have put them in a great position.
