Liverpool news round-up: Alisson exit update emerges as player to be sold immediately

Liverpool have had a busy start to the summer transfer window and more business is expected in the coming weeks.

The Reds have already wrapped up a deal for Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez is expected to follow at Anfield.

Arne Slot is also expecting departures this summer, with the likes of Darwin Nunez and Alisson being linked with moves away.

Liverpool face Elliott dilemma as West Ham move mooted

West Ham were recently touted as a perfect destination for Harvey Elliott by former England star Stuart Pearce.

And iconic commentator Ian Darke believes that move would make sense for Elliott and West Ham, but that the Reds may not want to sell him.

Speaking exclusively to Liverpool News, he said: “I think he is a terrific player and I do understand his frustrations, he is not a kid anymore, where he doesn’t want to just be playing these cameo roles off the bench.

“The time has come for him to fly the nest, and I don’t think anybody should have any bad blood about it.

“I think if he does become available and Liverpool are prepared to (sanction a departure), I don’t think they would be that keen to let him go, if I am honest, he is too useful to have on the bench.

Liverpool fans hit by rising costs

Liverpool are yet to officially release their home shirt for next season, but fans can expect an increase in price.

Chelsea, who share kit manufacturers Nike, are advertising next season’s home shirt for £84.99, an increase of just under £5 from last season.

Fortunately, Liverpool have agreed to freeze season ticket prices ahead of next season.

This comes after discussions earlier this year between the club and supporters’ groups who expressed concerns about possible price rises.

Liverpool said the decision was made despite significant increases in Anfield matchday operating costs and rises in the cost of football operations.

Robertson tempted by Liverpool exit

Atletico Madrid are eyeing Robertson as a potential signing and see him as the ideal signing to bring to the Spanish capital, following Trent Alexander-Arnold to the area.

Robertson is reportedly keen on joining Atletico, but Liverpool still want to keep the Scotsman.

The defender only has one more year left on his contract, and with Milos Kerkez’s expected switch to Merseyside, Robertson or Tsimikas could be sold this summer.

Liverpool fans have reacted to the news with some hoping that the full-back is sold straight away.

Some other supporters are not too convinced by the news and have played down the links to Robertson’s possible departure.

Alisson could leave Liverpool as floodgates open

Liverpool are already set for a significant change to their squad in the summer, with the likes of Nunez and Jarell Quansah being linked with a move away from Anfield.

According reports across the continent, Galatasaray made an enquiry for Alisson a few weeks ago.

The Brazilian turned down the approach, but other clubs could now pounce on the chance to sign the Liverpool favourite.

Alisson has been one of the best goalkeepers in the world whilst at Liverpool.

With Alisson’s contract coming to an end in 2027, this could potentially be the last summer Liverpool could receive a sizeable fee for the goalkeeper.

A shake-up to the Reds’ squad could hinder them next season, but when Slot last rebuilt his squad with Feyenoord, they managed to improve.

The Dutchman replaced eight players ahead of his final season in the Netherlands and managed to win the League Cup.
